Alpha Blondy, Massilia Sound System, Marvin, The Herbaliser, Lyricson, Mass Hysteria are just some of the exceptional artists who are going to rock Balélec. For the 30th anniversary, the Electro club will be called Soundgate, and will be bigger than before in order to welcome famous DJs who will look after even the most demanding clubbers until the end of the night. On the 7th May, You will find at Balelec a huge selection of music styles on the many stages of the festival: Reggae, Hip-Hop, Punk, Métal, Funk, French folk, Electro/House and Drum and Bass. Tickets are sold at preferential rates until the 18th April on our online ticket service as well as in the usual ticket selling points.
What’s new at Balelec 2010 ?
For the 30th edition of the festival, the Electro Club has been rechristened Soundgate and will be moved to the architecture building which has a huge clubbing space. Furthermore, the Azimut stage is also moving from the right side of the main stage to the left; near the 2008 entrance. The Balelec festival continues its efforts to protect the environment (deposits on glasses, biodegradable dishes, free public transport, car-sharing…), the doors open at 7pm so that festival goers will be able to relax, eat dishes from around the world while discovering local artists. La programmation 2010Le groupe très engagé Alpha Blondy enchantera les festivaliers avec son reggae teinté de rythmes africains. Les Massilia Sound System amèneront un peu de soleil méditerranéen avec eux, et leur reggae jamaïcain aux accents provençaux saura répandre la bonne humeur. Le style Hip-Hop/Funk sera dignement représenté avec The Herbaliser, un groupe venu de Grande-Bretagne pour un show qui sʼannonce so British. Sacrés Swiss Top Band 2008, les Marvin feront danser les foules avec leur tube "I wanna be there". Dans un tout autre style, Mass Hysteria fera monter lʼadrénaline avec une déferlante de musique métal/rock. Le groupe de métal français Dagoba amènera une vague de bon son et fera découvrir son quatrième album « Face the Colossus ». Côté chanson française, cʼest le jeune Lyonnais Siméo qui se chargera de nous faire danser sur la langue de Molière, tandis quʼon retrouvera lʼun des artistes reggae dancehall les plus attendus du moment : Lyricson. Et encore... rockʼandʼroll version old school avec Dirty Sound Magnet, reggae/hip-hop avec Bhale Bacce Crew, Les Joyeux Urbains et leur chanson française aux accents pop, rock avec MotherKingdom, reggae avec Los Bedjellou, métal avec Minkus, punk avec Hateful Monday et hip-hop avec KLH Music. Au final, 4 scènes, 17 concerts et une ambiance de folie ! Côté clubbing, le Club Electro accueillera Chris Lake, jeune loup de lʼélectro-house reconnu dans le monde entier comme lʼun des producteurs-DJs les plus doués du moment, tandis que Kurd Maverick et son légendaire remake "Pump Up The Jam" saura transporter les festivaliers dans la troisième dimension. On retrouvera aussi aux platines Tony Romera, Axel Lecoste et Adriano Alberti. La coupole sera animé par Dj Netik qui mêle hip-hop, électro et drumʼnʼbass avec dexterité, et Elisa do Brasil, dont les mixes explosifs ont aussi bien convaincu les clubs de toute la planète que les festivals francophones. Le co- producteur de Elisa do Brasil, Dj Ben, sera également de la partie, ainsi que Tha Trickaz, qui a fait renaître un hip-hop 90ʼs aux sonorités électro, dubstep ou encore drumʼnʼbass. Les arts de la rue seront également à lʼhonneur avec les Nomades qui animeront les allées du festival. |
